Tourniquet Pouches
Tactical Tourniquet Pouches and MOLLE Tourniquet Holders for Military and Field Use
A tourniquet is only useful if it can be reached in seconds. In a combat or field emergency, searching through a bag or vest is not an option. A dedicated tourniquet pouch keeps the device in a fixed, known position on the rig and allows one-handed access without looking.

Types of Tourniquet Pouches
M-Tac tourniquet pouches cover two approaches to carry and access.
Elastic tourniquet holders use a wide elastic band that grips the tourniquet firmly and allows fast extraction. Select models feature an ambidextrous design with hook-and-loop side straps for left or right-hand extraction. These models attach to the front loop panel under a plate carrier flap or via a MOLLE interface, and most include an elastic loop at the bottom for a marker.
Closed flap tourniquet pouches add a protective layer over the tourniquet, shielding it from dirt and dust in harsh field conditions. A quick-pull tab on the front opens the flap with a single motion. A built-in retainer controls how far the pouch opens — partially for top-only extraction, or fully when the retainer is released. A loop panel with a cross symbol on the front helps identify the pouch as a medical item at a glance.
Construction and Materials
Elastic models are built from Cordura 500D with Texcel straps or Cordura Squadron with Laser Cut MOLLE, depending on the generation. Closed flap models use Cordura Squadron throughout. Most models include elastic loops for marker attachment. CAT-style and C-A-T format tourniquet compatibility is consistent across the range.
Where and How to Use Tourniquet Pouches
Tourniquet pouches mount to the front loop panel under a plate carrier flap, allowing placement on the left, right, or centered under the panel, depending on the operator's draw preference. MOLLE-compatible models attach to plate carriers, chest rigs, war belts, and tactical vests. The closed flap version also attaches to the bottom or sides of a plate carrier via loop-backed flaps.
The right placement depends on the dominant hand, the rest of the loadout, and how fast the operator needs to access the tourniquet. Most operators position it where it can be reached with either hand in a compromised position.
M-Tac tourniquet pouches and holders are used by military personnel, law enforcement, medics, and tactical professionals who carry a tourniquet as a standard part of their combat loadout. Fast access, reliable retention, and MOLLE compatibility make them a practical addition to any individual's first aid setup.
FAQs
What tourniquet fits these pouches?
Most models are designed for CAT-style and C-A-T format tourniquets and similar formats of the same size.
What is the difference between elastic and closed flap models?
Elastic models prioritize speed of access. Closed flap models add protection from dirt and dust, which matters in muddy or sandy environments where an exposed tourniquet can become contaminated.
Which hand can I use to draw the tourniquet?
Gen.4, Gen.5, and MOLLE Gen.3 models feature an ambidextrous design with hook-and-loop side straps that allow extraction from both the left and right sides.
Does the pouch include a marker loop?
Most models include an elastic loop at the bottom for attaching a medical marker.
Can these pouches be used on a war belt or chest rig?
MOLLE-compatible models attach to any MOLLE platform including war belts, chest rigs, plate carriers, and tactical vests.
