Tactical Sitting Mats and Seat Pads for Military and Outdoor Use

A tactical sitting mat is a portable insulated seat designed to block moisture and cold from transferring through the ground into the body. Cold ground pulls heat out faster than cold air. At a checkpoint, an observation post, or a winter hunting position, sitting directly on wet or frozen ground without insulation is a hypothermia risk, not a comfort issue.

M-Tac tactical and military sitting mats use Cordura 1000D covers over 30mm rubberized foam. The foam blocks moisture and keeps body heat from transferring into the ground. A webbing strap with side-release buckle attaches the mat to the waist. Select models include triangular side panels that keep the mat in place during movement. Quick-release buckles handle fast attachment and removal.

Select ARMOR models accept an optional M-Tac Ballistic Package Class 1A. NIR compliant technology on select models reduces infrared visibility in field environments.

The basic military seat pad runs lighter. 20mm foam, elastic Fastex strap, compact enough to forget it is there until you need it. It also works as a tray, a writing surface, or a fire fan.
