Drone Backpacks and FPV Drone Bags for Field and Outdoor Use

A drone is fragile. Propellers bend, lenses scratch, battery terminals corrode if moisture finds a way in. Throw an FPV drone into a regular backpack alongside everything else and eventually something breaks that should not have.

M-Tac built these backpacks around the drone, not around generic storage.

Types of Drone Backpacks

A compact single-drone backpack fits one drone, a controller, goggles, and accessories in a tight footprint with everything kept separate. Some models switch between backpack, shoulder bag, and MOLLE-mounted pouch, so the same case works whether you are walking in, driving, or moving it onto a plate carrier.

A modular organizer backpack swaps fixed compartments for adjustable hook-and-loop shelves. Move them to fit a different drone size, a bigger controller, more batteries. Card holders and propeller pockets handle the small stuff that gets lost otherwise.

A multi-drone FPV backpack is for running several units at once. The main compartment opens flat like a suitcase, with padded dividers organizing up to 7 drones. Pull the dividers and it holds 15. A separate top section keeps controllers, batteries, and goggles out of the drone compartment entirely.

Construction and Features

Cordura 500D and 1000D form the shell. Cordura Squadron covers the MOLLE Laser Cut panels where extra gear attaches. EVA foam lines the interior to absorb impact. Select models add Tegris, a rigid polypropylene composite that cuts real weight without giving up protection, which matters more than it sounds like on a long mission.

Quick-release shoulder straps with a sternum strap come standard. Handles on top and the sides let you carry the pack vertically or horizontally depending on what fits in the vehicle. Loop panels take patches and ID. YKK zippers and Woojin hardware throughout.

Choosing a Drone Backpack

One drone and a tight kit, go compact. Field roles that change often, look at a model that converts between backpack, shoulder bag, and MOLLE pouch. Multiple FPV units in rotation, the multi-drone backpack with removable dividers is built for that. Long missions where every kilogram counts, the Tegris-reinforced option earns its price.

Who Uses Drone Backpacks

Military and tactical drone operators running FPV units in the field. Commercial and hobbyist pilots moving gear between sites. Anyone who has cracked a propeller because the drone went into a bag that was not made for it.
