The Punisher is an antihero from comic books who chose to take justice into his own hands. Although his intentions were initially noble—avenging his family who died in a gang shootout—his readiness to kill, use terror, and apply aggression made him a controversial figure.
With serious military training (Vietnam War), he is proficient with many types of weapons, infiltration tactics, and hand-to-hand combat.
The perception of the Punisher is quite ambiguous, as he kills only the guilty: criminals, corrupt officials, and those who believe they are above the law.
