The M-Tac Windblock Division fleece jacket is equally perfect for cool and cold weather. In the first case, you can use it as an outer layer, in the second - as insulation under a jacket or parka. Made of 100% polyester. The structure of the WindBlock membrane grid is designed for conditions of low and extremely low temperatures in such a way that 80% of body heat is reflected from the surface to the inside and only 20% (excess heat during active activities at low temperatures) goes outside through the membrane grid.
Most of the modern membrane fabrics with surface polyurethane spraying are not designed for extremely low temperatures due to the fact that polyurethane hardens at low temperatures, and this further leads to the hardening of the fabric as a whole. The consequence of this is a characteristic of "rustling" when moving. The WindBlock thermal fabric does not use polyurethane spraying to protect the membrane, but a dense polyester-structured pile (from the inside and outside of the membrane), protects it from the effects of low temperatures, abrasion (both from the inside and outside) and creates an additional insulating air layer.
Such a three-layer structure of the membrane fabric completely eliminates the "rustling" effect. It has nylon fabric reinforcements on the egows. Fastens with a zipper and is equipped with many pockets. On the sleeves, the manufacturer added loop panels for attaching ID or various moral patches. On the back there is a rear cargo pocket in which you can transport gloves and other utilitarian small items.

Wish I had this as my field jacket when I went to Ukraine last fall / winter, helping train Ukraine military basic TCCC (combat medicine) in the field. Instant warmth, comfortable and rugged. Well designed and totally functional in all harsh cold weather. I will definitely take this with me on my next dispatch to Ukraine and any other cold weather conditions I may encounter. If you want warm, dry and functional I highly recommend this.

I got this jacket because my bearskin 2.0 jacket let lots of wind in. This is a solid jacket a leagues ahead of bearskin jackets. The only think that would make this a 5 star instead of a 4 is adding 2 large pockets inside the jacket.
Although the shipping was a bear through no fault of M-Tac my jacket arrived eventually. When I did get it I was pleased with the construction and attention to detail of the jacket. Prior to this jacket I was able to try an Amazon Chinese Jacket of very similar style. Although the styles were close the quality was not. M-Tac has designed and produced a jacket that definitely puts other comparable jackets to shame. If this jacket is representative of the quality the other products they sell have, I'd have no issues purchasing from them again. Im 6'00" and about 230lbs and ordered a size large. This size would allow me to wear a thin or medium weight baselayer under the jacket and still be comfortable with ample mobility. Also the customer service was always prompt and helpful.
Love the jacket! As soon as I picked up the package, I knew by the weight of it, that this was going to be a nice jacket. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality and look of it. I am already looking at the website to buy something else!

Warm jacket
Great looking and fitting jacket. I particularly like that it does not make the "swish swish" sound typical of cold weather apparel. Black was the only color available in the size I wanted but it does not seem to accumulate random fuzz and lint. Mtac has always been a great company to work with orders are fulfilled quickly and accurately
Picked up this fleece as a way of supporting the Ukrainian people - and I was in the market for this style.
Fit: I sit in an awkward space between Western Small and Medium sizing - I ordered a small and it fits perfectly. It's just loose enough for allow movement inside the fleece without being tent-like.
Armpit zippers are excellent and allow for good ventilation without loss of insulation. Pockets and stitching are roomy and easy to access.
Insulation - extremely warm and wind-resistant while remaining breathable. Very comfortable for wide range to temperatures - mid-60s to mid-20s F in my experience thus far.

I'm 6'1". I got a large, and the sleeves are nice and long, the mid section is loose, but not tent like. The jacket is nice and heavy, the seams are all well stitched. It feels like it will last a long time. If you're slender and my size, you may want to go medium, the sleeves are plenty long and I'd guess the medium sleeves will be long enough too. Overall very happy, and happy to support a great company.

I'm impressed by what I got for the price point with this, and its ruggedness (I'm a field service tech on industrial machinery.) This is my go-to light jacket in cool weather, insulating layer in cold weather.
