Great thermos

Right off the bat, this is not "the best thermos ever". That would be the Stanley Master Series thermos, which keeps coffee hot for 24 hrs but is no longer made. I have 2 of them, and both of the stoppers wore out, with the seal at the bottom breaking off. And no Stanley replacement stoppers available except from New Zealand. I bought replacements on Amazon, and they drip everywhere, and don't keep the heat as well. And Stanley says their "Lifetime Warranty" doesn't apply to the stoppers, which they don't make anymore. So I'm not buying their stuff again.

So I tried a Thermos top of the line thermos... only keeps coffee hot for about 6-8 hours. And feels flimsy. What a POC!

I got one of these M-Tacs at the same time. And am very pleased with it. It is not as good as the Master, but does keep coffee decently hot for 12 hours, better than Thermos brand one. And feels way tuffer. Good sturdy handle and body. Good cup that feels like it will keep coffee hot more than 30 seconds and more importantly, keep the heat in. Even better, this is the best pouring stopper I have ever used, better than the original Stanley one. There is no lining it up needed to make it pour straight with the handle. You just push the toggle, and it can pour all the way around - which means no lining it up. And the least drippy lid I have used yet.

Yeah, it isn't as good as the Stanley Master, RIP. But it seems to currently be the best thermos buyable with handle. And rugged as hell. I also particularly like the strap carry option, so I can sling it for hiking with it. I don't rappel out of helicopters these days (which is a blast with a M16 in 1 hand to feel like Rambo, even though I never did it with a round chambered because that would be stupid!) But this thermos will go with me on photography and camping trips and back and forth to work, for years to come.

Good job M-Tac! What could be better? I would say make the cup a little heftier in the next version, and put a rubber or silicon pad on the top of the lid ie bottom of the cup. And if you want a famous thermos, keep making it better. 16 hours hot would be awesome!

Looks are great still haven’t used ! All my Stanley’s and other thermos can’t hold hot for more than about 3 hours in the cold . I duck hunt Deer hunt and fish 2-4 days a week when possible and the last thing I want is cold coffee !!! I already preheated this a couple of times and 14 hours later on counter still piping hot but I know that’s not out in the weather !! We shall see !!! Very durable!!!!no sheen or shine !!! Nice and big holds more than I need !!!
