M-Tac also implemented a new external modular attachment technology: instead of traditional sewn-on PALS webbing, several rows of precision-cut holes are laser-cut into a nylon layer. This allows for compatibility with standard MOLLE gear while reducing the overall weight of the product by approximately 35%.
